I've looked and listened 'til my ears were about to fall off (or I got a fatal case of "sticker shock") for a speaker that sounds great with any CD--over long periods of time. Too many of the speakers I've listened to eventually make me want to disconnect the tweeter or leave the room. My cats feel the same way. But don't confuse mellow or smooth with boring-- and I'm sure you all know what I am talking about with the so-called "sizzle & wow" speakers.
